@edwardcollins_upleveled: Thinking about your 401(k) and its long-term impact? While a 401(k) offers tax deductions today and forces you to save for the future, those dollars will be taxed when you withdraw them. It's crucial to consider where you think tax rates are heading. To create wealth, every dollar should be working for you. Invest in real estate, businesses, or your skills to make the most of your money. Be a wise capital allocator and ensure your dollars are hard at work for your financial future. #FinancialLiteracy #GetUpleveled Credit (IG): Grant Cardone - @grantcardone SF0473
every older person I talk to says they wish they never had a 401k and put their money somewhere else

I don't see a scenario where 401 k is not mathematically the better choice.. Youre basically investing money that would otherwise be lost as tax.

401k is only good if your job matches a percentage. And only put as much as they match

the theory goes. that by the time you retire and start pulling money. you'll be making alot less a year. outting you into lower tax brackets. so yeah taxes may go up but it's off of a % of alot less

Me :
Considering my tax bracket will be considerably less when I retire because of no income, it will be OK

that money that would have gone to taxes, is instead being invested & will likely will at least 4x in the next 30 years. With inflation, will you be paying 4x the amount of taxes that you are now?

That’s why I contribute to a 401k, 401k Roth, and Roth IRA. I can just pull out of each and only pay taxes on the traditional 401k. This should in theory keep my taxes low.

You need to ask yourself if you will be in a higher tax bracket in the future when you plan to withdraw than if you paid tax on $ now, if so Roth makes more sense (and cents) 😁

If you have an employer who matches a good percentage, this is a no-brainer. 401(k) will still always be better.

I’m willing to bet your taxes when you’re retired is a lot lower given you have no income and at a lower tax bracket.
