@muco_0: “The Three Ravens” is an English medieval folk-ballad originally printed in a book of songs in 1611. It tells the story of three ravens conversing about where and what they should eat. In a later verse, one tells of a newly slain knight, who they cannot eat as he is guarded by his loyal hawks and hounds. #autoharp #singing #folksong #bard #folkmusic #medievalmusic
So interesting- this is almost identical to a medieval Norwegian folk song (“Ravnene”)! Songleikr does a great cover of it.

My last two videos have been Middle English folk songs from at least 300 years before this one. This is written in Early Modern English and you can hear how much more similar it is to modern English
