AD  I’ve teamed up with Deli Kitchen to show you how I used their Sliced Focaccia to convert one of my favourite things, a Cypriot pastry known as “Tahınlı” into a dessert by merging it with a custard-laden Bread & Butter pudding. The sliced focaccia can be easily buttered on one side, making it an easy and delicious choice to pair with the flavours of tahini, brown sugar and cinnamon, and a creamy vanilla custard for this bread & butter pudding. SO GOOD. Sliced focaccia is not just for sandwiches – please make it! Serves 6-8 Ingredients 200g tahini 100g light brown sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 x pack Deli Kitchen Sliced Focaccia, cut into triangles 40g butter 500ml vanilla custard METHOD Preheat your oven to 160c fan / 180c. Whisk together the tahini, brown sugar and ground cinnamon until smooth (the sugar grains will still be visible but everything should be mixed together well). Butter the insides of all the focaccia triangles, then spread each one with the tahini mixture too reserving half of the mixture for later. Place the buttered tahini triangles, tahini side up, in a deep, buttered, oven-proof baking dish and pour over the vanilla custard. Let it rest for 30 minutes for the bread to soak up the custard. Drizzle the remaining tahini mixture over the top of the pudding and bake on the middle shelf for 35-40 minutes until the top starts to bubble and caramelise and the custard is still creamy but not runny.
