@regulamaria: An Elephant Bull in full Musth… What is Musth? During musth, male elephants are flooded with up to ten times as much testosterone than usual. Their temporal glands, located behind their ears, swell up to the size of a grapefruit and they are noticeable due to an almost constant stream of urine that leaves a scent trail behind them. An unforgettable sighting with a respectful distance with our friend and guide @nombekana in June 2023 in @krugernationalpark. #elephant #elephantbull #elefant #pachyderm #savetheelephants #saynotopoaching #saynotoivory #elephantinmusth #encounter #krugernationalparksouthafrica #africanwildlife #africanwildlifephotography #wildearth #wildlife #bigfive #wildanimals #bornfree #savetheplanet #planetearth #wildlife_through_lens_ #iconic #inthebush #AfricanAdventure #nikonphotography #unforgettable #tripofalifetime #the4koerners @Africa safaris with Nombekana
