He might just be playing, dw, he seems to see himself as another bunny so for now it’s safe. Cats like to play with via stalking and pouncing on each other, mine do the same in a friendly manner

we had an adult cat and a rabbit and they loved to play together, cat would chase the rabbit and the rabbit would chase the cat, both were unharmed

Cats tend to believe they are the same species as the one they grow up around and develop the same features, so your kitten is probably under the assumption that he is a bunny too :D

if the cat grows older and still jumps on the rabbit I'd suggest keeping them separated since cats can and will kill rabbits ( mine tried on the wild ones outside before)

Cats do something called species learning so, in your case if you raise a cat with a bunny the kitty will think its a bunny!
