That’s what’s so funny about the whole “hur dur Apple only just went to usb-c” thing. Lightning was a more stable standard in place earlier b/c usb-c was taking too long to finalise.

USB comes in different speeds. the slow ones are just USB. Then 2.0 then 3.0. 3.0 is the fastest one at the moment.

If you like this USC content, I can do more videos on how USB 3.0 works, like how 3.0 lanes can transmit in both direction but 2.0 was half duplex and polled devices for messages

disagree with the comments, the only problem is usbc needs better labelling on the cables, which is what all decent cables already do cheap cable, no label = no extra features

My beef is that so many devices don’t give clear specs on their requirements - they’ll say they use 9v-3a and won’t say if they are PD or QC compatible and so even if your charger supports the v/a it

Thunderbolt 4 (TB4) does not equal USB 4.0. the USB C world is awesome (1 cord end to rule them all)! BUT yes we just need better standardization and labeling of cords.
