ehh some of it is due to city planning. having wide, long, straight, roads with no lights but then telling people to only drive at 50kmh was never going to work.

America and German highway speeds are way higher, modern cars are able to go 100-140kmh safely.if you got good reaction times and the roads are empty no problem doing that.

driving in general is a risk, and that's because it's constantly dealing with changing event that requires judgment. rules can't be followed 100% because of that not to mention insurance tryna scam u.
