During the day, you can swim in the sea between the Venetian-style houses of the town and stroll along the beach, or in the evening, enjoy a meal with a view of the lively marina filled with tavernas, cafes, and souvenir shops. The island suffered significant damage in the major earthquake of 1953, so it is not possible to see many new buildings.
