find out how big the pole of the fan is and cut it out in the middle of the metal then cut that in half where you have two pieces of metal with a half circle at the end and just like it up and screwit

ironically i literally did the exact same thing to a shed about a year ago, tin and all, i split it into 2 and cut a hole on 2 ends to match up and just put it around it if that makes sense, instead

Remove the fan measure the area an cut a hole for the electrical box then put up the sheet metal with the hole cut. Then just put the fan part back up 🤷♂️

Remove the fan. Cut a hole for the electrical box and attach the sheet to the ceiling. Reinstall the ceiling fan.
