@mrs_may_blue: Bonus point: people assume that I am politically left just because I am in a biracial relationship! (I am ‘left’ on some issues & ‘right’ on others actually, & most issues I am just not informed enough to have a strong opinion on). I probably shouldn’t even say this but… there’s also a certain type of Asian / ‘white’ relationship with an old white guy & a younger Asian woman… People make a joke at me all the time about my relationship, they laugh & say ‘oh, it usually goes the other way!’ (Referencing that other type of relationship). I feel no kinship or connection to people with that type of relationship.
