Isn’t this what a membership is suppose to be? A paid membership for those who purchase it? Costco employees always loook at the card and picture. Always been strict. Not sure why people are upset.

I used to go to Costco with my grandma since she has a membership & one day I was trying to pay for our groceries they said i couldn’t be my debit card it had to be hers😭 like my grandma doesn’t work

No because my mom has osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis, and she sends my sisters to buy her Groceries and tell me why they said my mom had to be there in other to pay… like she can barely walk…

I love it! I pay for a membership for a reason! You can add 2 cards per membership anyways, if you are really shopping for your Grammy tell her to add you!

As a Costco employee they’re trying to cut down on people using other people’s membership because they aren’t transferable. Whoever the primary person is on the membership has to add family members

Honestly the quality of MANY Kirkland items has gone down so much! The detergents, paper towels, toilet paper, snacks and more. At least they have a wonderful return policy

so if you actually look on the back of your membership is says non transferable! which is also why there’s a picture on there to make sure it’s you! hope this helps

My dad was on hospice and literally bed ridden. I went to Costco for his groceries WITH my two babies under 2. Spent ar lease an hour in the store shopping as they wouldn’t let me check out 😒

listen I'm with costco on this one. it's gotten ridiculous busy. I was one of the first 100 members when it came to ontario and now it's just anyone can go.

I think it makes sense. It’s really not a new system, the employees standing at the door were supposed to be checking all along. If you shop for your grandma, have her add you to her membership.

Not a fan. They wouldn’t let me stop and pick up my stepdad’s medication right after he had surgery unless he was present. We have switched to Sam’s and will never go back.
