During dress design class we learnt to use cardboard, like break a piece of a box and rub it, cleans faster

When I was kid I used to watch my dad clean the iron with newspaper and salt and it used to come up nice and shiny he still does it today 🤣🤣🤣

30 years ago my mother had some iron clean cream in a toothpaste like tube. one pea size of that cleaned the iron like magic. couldn't find it ever again as an adult

Just wet the piece of cloth, put the paracetamol on it and wipe it together It much easier that way

don't tell my sons :
I use dishwashing soap on a scourer and scrub it . Wipe off with damp cloth.

When I was living in my island I would go and rub the hot iron on the white sand (the sand is really tiny) worked like a charm!
