Every video it’s like you’re taking the words right out of my heart. It hurts so bad learning to accept this but damn do I feel so free at the same time.

When my mom’s therapist told her you either learn to live with his choices or leave and learn to live without him. 15 years later we are happy without him. Praying he finds his peace for his wellbeing

2 yrs after leaving, I do know he never got sober. I don’t know if I’d be here had I stayed. Healing from staying too long is also hard but at least there’s a chance at peace ahead on this path♥️

Eliminating the complacency seems to be the biggest help with triggers. That comfort level of being with them can be detrimental to any level of progress. Glad you're finding your elements again. 💜

So sorry 😞 I’ve dealt with alc addicts and it feels like a never ending losing battle, especially when they’ve been given opportunities to rise. So great that you chose you and your son and I hope you never feel a second of guilt for that. That takes so much courage. It’s not your fault 🫶🏻

Literally did the same for my ex husband. Left him after 18 years in the hopes he can make a life for himself and sort it out.

I lost my 19 yr brother to addiction. The hardest part was having to cut all communication off, cause I couldnt sit there and watch some slowly kill themselves all because they didn’t want help.
