@thebreakupjournal.mov: I hope this is your last goodbye :) Something most of us (myself INCLUDEED) often forget is that even during goodbye, we are still on the side of love. We often get so caught up in trying to hold on, we miss our final moments to love them—how tragic. Wanting someone you use to love to lose doesn’t make sense. If they break your heart, and they end up miserable as a result, that just means all the love that was there was wasted. Them finding a happy ending is proof that love was never wasted, it got them to where they needed to go—and when you open yourself up to this, it will get you to where you need to go too. If you wish to love with everything you’ve got, to find love again and to open your heart, be willing to face heartbreak with love. This is the defiance of the human heart. It says “even if you are to break me, I will love you in that too” How absolutely audacious is the human heart to be that way? I think when you do this, you really, truly, act from the highest frequency of love. It’s a promise. You know you will find love again. So if these are your final moments in this particular expression of it, serve your highest truth—even if it means farewell. I used to think competition (in the context of romance) meant “winning” and “beating” the other person. But if you do this, all you do is go against someone you love—doesn’t sound very loving right? The true competitor isn’t trying to beat others. The true competitor is attempting to liberate themselves. To remain open hearted in the face of impossible odds. This is the challenge. Making a fuss, throwing a tantrum and resisting farewell with someone you love isn’t hard. Sending them off with your entire heart? That’s nearly impossible. But this is the greatest act of love you could ever perform.
