@bratbustersparenting: My almost 3 year old decided she doesn't want to listen anymore but she used to be really good, any advice? I find at 3-years-old there is a fork in the road. On one hand, at three, if you've been a leader, they get super easy. On the other hand, if they're three and you haven't been a leader, they often go the other way. Do you know why? From my experience, it’s because they can stop and think by this point. They look back at the last three years and if you haven’t been a leader, they take over. Yep! I'm applying your parenting principles now, but I haven't been a leader in the past. It really shows with my pre-schooler. One time, he told me I was "lower" than him and he was the boss.
