@icequeentaty: Update with having HS… this is a few hours after taking my medication. #hswarrior #hs #hidradenitissuppurativa #boil #cyst #hidradenitissuppurativaawareness
If you have to let it green itself, you need to put an extremely hot washcloth on it for it to rise up faster. And you have to do it all day.

I had one under my armpit. They didn’t give me no numbing medication. They straight cut my armpit open. I felt everything and I cried 😭

I hate these kind of flare ups you’re incapacitated until it drains. Try figuring out what’s causing your flare up, for me every time I ate pasta I would get a bad one that might help u get them less

A good dermatologist might help. I have this problem and a biological like Humira can help with HS a lot. Antibiotics only worked so well for me but I saw real improvement with a biological

Antibiotics don’t work for me. I’d pop a pain med and use a heating pad. If it stays unbearable see if they will lance it. Instant relief. Wishing you well!

Also, I learned that I couldn’t wash into my arm with the same soap. I was using on my body. I can only use Dial soap, which is antibacterial, and I changed my deodorant to medicated secret.

HS girly here— a heating pad to bring it to a head to drain, hydrocolloid patches to reduce friction helps. Turmeric and zinc supplements helps with the inflammation and reducing the size of it!

I had a removal surgery under both arms. Best decision I could have made. I also take Remicade which allows me to live and feel “normal” and has stopped flair ups.

I will wet a face cloth with warm water and add a few drops of tea tree oil (not too much), and I have to do it quite frequently, but it does help it come to a head for me
