Our New Moon in Leo ritual circle tonight also featured a Lammas Potluck celebration! Join Skylar as she takes you on the journey of making Lammas Bread! 🌾🌞✨ 🌾 Why We Make Lammas Bread: A Heartfelt Celebration 🌾 Hey everyone, Skylar here! 💜 As we move into August, I'm filled with the warmth and excitement of celebrating Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh. This festival marks the first harvest of the year, and one of the most cherished traditions is baking Lammas bread. For me, this practice is deeply personal, and I’d love to share why. 🍞 The Magic of Lammas Bread: Every time I step into the kitchen to bake, I’m instantly reminded of my gramma. She doesn’t call herself a witch or celebrate Lammas, but her kitchen was always filled with magic. Celebrating Abundance: Lammas is about honoring the grain harvest, a staple that's sustained us for centuries. Baking bread from the first grains of the season feels like a beautiful way to give thanks for the earth’s bounty, much like how my grandmother would always be grateful for every meal she prepared. Transformation Symbol: The process of turning wheat into flour and then into bread is a powerful symbol of transformation. It’s a reminder that simple things, when nurtured with care, can become something nourishing and wonderful. Offering of Gratitude: Making Lammas bread is also about showing gratitude—to the earth, the deities of harvest, and the loved ones we share it with. Manifesting Intentions: When I bake, I think about my goals and dreams for the months ahead. 🌟 How to Celebrate: Bake Your Own Bread: Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just trying it for the first time, making Lammas bread is a rewarding experience. Use a recipe that resonates with you, and remember, it’s about the love you put into it. Share the Love: Host a small Lammas gathering and share your bread with loved ones. You could also donate some of your baked goods to those in need, spreading the blessings even further. Give Back to Nature: Leave a small piece of your Lammas bread outside as an offering to the earth and the spirits of nature, thanking them for their continued blessings. Every time I bake, I feel a deep connection to my grandmother and the magic she brought into our lives through her simple, loving acts. This Lammas, may your kitchen be filled with warmth, your heart with gratitude, and your home with the delicious smell of freshly baked bread. Blessed be! 🌾✨ #WheeloftheYear #Witchtok #Pagan #Traditions #Magic #TheWanderingWitches
