First shop I've ever heard talking about breaking in the brakes! Most shops or shade tree guys just don't do a break in.

I put just a little bit of lube underneath the hardware and on the hardware itself. I’ve had great luck with that. Loves y’all’s content! Much love! ❤️

I also learned to Short stroke the brake pedal when pumping the brakes up after the repair. if you push the brake pedal to the floor, overstroke it, you may cause an internal master cylinder leak

I highly doubt most shops are as thorough as your shop when doing brakes. I wish they were. The shops I use seem focused on getting you in and out quickly. Most shops suck.

I’ve never bled the brakes out when I did my old pathfinder and do you ever change brake fluid? I never did any of that stuff if it’s necessary.

I don’t agree with the grease part. You need grease between the hangers and the shims to prevent rust and you only grease the pad ears if you grease the shims the pad will push that on the disk

it looks like that's caliper has an EPB and the actuator wasn't retracted with scanner before removed isn't that bad
