First shop I've ever heard talking about breaking in the brakes! Most shops or shade tree guys just don't do a break in.

I’m flat rate so you get new pads and rotors and a quick hardware lube and replacement and you are on your way. I don’t get paid to bed the brakes I get paid to replace

Spot on except in Ohio I always put a thin layer of brake lube between bracket and rattle clips to try to keep from rusting and freezing up again

When I seet the brake pads I do kinda hard stops a few times from 40 to 5 then accelerate back up stay off the brakes and let them cool down then 1 hard stop at a lower speed and they grab real good.

I put just a little bit of lube underneath the hardware and on the hardware itself. I’ve had great luck with that. Loves y’all’s content! Much love! ❤️

I don’t agree with the grease part. You need grease between the hangers and the shims to prevent rust and you only grease the pad ears if you grease the shims the pad will push that on the disk
