So yesterday was a tough day for us and we are still waiting on news for our Lily. We all know she has an auto immune disease called Pemphigus Foliation which can flare up. And yesterday we saw during feeding that her eye was swollen shut so we rushed her to the vet. We live in fear of relapses for her as it means strong steroids to manage her condition and stall rest for a long time until the condition settles. And none of us want that for her. This video was taken the night before her eye swelled up and she was fine and doing well. The vet at the moment thinks it might just be an allergic reaction or insect bite and we are praying that’s right. It’s a complicated disease to manage and last year we did so well not having a relapse. The issue is that each time she has one she needs stronger steroids to kick it down until eventually they don’t work any longer. And that would be a tragedy. “Pemphigus foliaceus (PF) in horses is a rare, autoimmune skin disease where the horse’s immune system attacks healthy skin cells. This leads to characteristic lesions like blisters, crusts, and hair loss, often starting on the face and legs. Treatment typically involves long-term immunosuppressant medication, including steroids, to manage the disease and prevent complications.” So we wait and hope that this isn’t a flare up and it was so good to see beautiful Blue Moon making friends with Dollar and Dakoda by her side as ever. I shall keep you posted when I hear from the vet today. Charlotte Cake Light 🍰 - Chantilly & Frutti di bosco 🫐 Appena tornati dalla Sicilia (col volo in ritardo di quasi 2 ore🥶) ci siamo subito fiondati in questa corsa contro il tempo, e alla fine è andato tutto per il meglio (savoiardi ammosciati a parte😂) ❤️Lascia un like, salva e condividi il video per supportarci 🙏 Ingredienti per uno stampo da 24cm (se è 18/20cm dimezza tutto) -500g savoiardi Per la chantilly (diplomatica) light -900ml latte scremato -8 tuorli -50g amido di mais -40g eritritolo + dolcificante qb (noi 0.2g sucralosio) o 140g zucchero / 80g miele -Vaniglia qb -400g panna montata (noi a base vegetale) Decorazione e farcia: -Frutti di bosco Procedimento: Prepara la crema pasticcera mischiando i tuorli con l’eritritolo, dolcificante, amido e vaniglia. Scalda il latte in un pentolino e appena vedi un po’ di vapore, versalo pian piano nel composto di tuorli mentre mischi col frustino, poi riversa tutto nel pentolino, gira costantemente e scalda finché la crema si addensa (te ne accorgi all’improvviso). Versa in un contenitore basso e largo (se noti dei grumi, puoi prima setacciarla) e copri con pellicola, quindi metti in frigo. Monta la panna freddissima e incorporala alla crema raffreddata. Metti i savoiardi in piedi lungo tutto il bordo dello stampo foderato con carta forno, così anche sulla base. Inizia a creare gli strati così: Sulla base di savoiardi aggiungi la crema, frutti di bosco, altri savoiardi, crema, frutti di bosco e cosi via. Decora con altri frutti di bosco, Lascia in frigo una notte, tira fuori e sorprendi qualcuno che ami❤️ #savoiardi #charlottecake #ricetta #compleanno
