FLIPPIN GOOD SHRIMP BOWL . Welcome to Part 1 of my series on Flippin Good Food, where I show you how to make easy, high protein, lowcarb meals that taste so good. . Today Im making a delicious avocado shrimp bowl with an easy homemade sauce. To make it high protein and lowcarb, I used my @Kaizen Food Company rice (code ShredHappens saves you 20%), but you can use regular rice, brown rice, quinoa, or anything else you prefer! . Here is how I made it (this made 3-4 servings): . 1.We’ll start by grabbing 1lb wild deveined peeled shrimp. Butterfly down the middle. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil and season with a generous pinch of salt and pepper. . 2.Bring a cast iron pan to medium heat. Add 1 tbsp oil. When hot, add the shrimp and cook for 60-90 seconds on the first side, flip, and cook for another 60 seconds on the other side. . 3.Prepare your sauce. In a food processor add 5 tablespoons mayo (or thick yogurt), 2 tbsp unsweetened ketchup, 1 tbsp dijon mustard, the juice of 2 large limes, a large handful of cilantro, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 tbsp smoked paprika, a couple generous pinches salt, fresh cracked pepper. Process well. Taste, and adjust. . 4.Prepare your veggies and toppings. I sliced up avocado, finely diced onion, finely chopped chives (or scallions), fresh cilantro, and shredded iceberg lettuce. . 5.Prepare your base. I used my Kaizen highprotein lowcarb rice, but you can use regular rice, brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice. . 6.Grab your bowls. Place your avocado at the base, add the shrimp, add your veggies, add your cooked rice, top with lettuce. Put a plate on top of the bowl and flip. Then top with as much or little of the sauce you want, and enjoy! .
