My sister has 3.5 years sober and her place was the “crash” house. It was so hard to visit her and pretend to be oblivious to the random people who were always around.

I slept in a cemetery more than I'd like to admit in active addiction. like on the green thing where they put the caskets on under the little gazebo thing. it was scary

My siblings are both in active addiction and staying in the same flop house. I cry every time I stop by to visit. My brother has to comfort me. I’d give anything for them to be ready for recovery.

I once had to sleep in a train carriage. It was a rainy night, thankfully in the summer so it wasn't cold. I just smashed a window on the carriage, climbed in and slept on the comfy seats.
