Who says kimchi has to be red & spicy?? This one is called cabbage water kimchi (양배추물김치) and it’s perfectly refreshing and cooling for the hot summer!! ⭐️ Can kimchi be made not spicy/not include gochugaru but still have all the gut-healthy, probiotic benefits? YES!! Making kimchi spicy with gochugaru is just for personal preference! Don’t worry, you’re not missing out on the amazing benefits from fermentation with kimchi that doesn’t have any gochugaru (red pepper flakes)! The process of fermentation is the same for spicy & non-spicy kimchi! ⭐️ Where do you get your kimchi containers? Amazon! I have it listed in my Amazon storefront (on my recipe website in my bio or DM me and I’ll send the product link over) ⭐️ Sparky’s cabbage water kimchi ingredients - 1 head of green cabbage - 2 large cucumbers (scrape off seeds inside) - 4 tbsp coarse salt (salt for 30min) - flour water: 1tbsp flour & 2.5 cups water (med-high heat, bring to boil then turn off stove) - Blend: 1 Asian pear, 1 tbsp minced ginger, 3-4 green chili peppers (don’t worry, this doesn’t make the kimchi spicy - it just makes the brine taste very clean & refreshing), 2 tbsp fermented salted shrimp, 3/4 cup water *when pouring blender mix into the bowl, pour it through a strainer - keep adding water into the strainer until the mixture seeps all the way out. I used about 1L* - 10 green onions - 1 large onion or 2 small onions - 2 red chili peppers (optional - gives it a very slight kick that makes it taste even more refreshing) • • • • • • • • #kimchi #kimchirecipe #cabbagekimchi #EasyRecipe #koreanrecipe #homemadekimchi #guthealth #fermentedfoods #probiotics #koreanfood #nonspicykimchi #waterkimchi #easykimchirecipe #easykoreanrecipe #sparky #sparkykimchi
