My roster before I took a break from the profession was 35-37 students x 7 courses a day (HS) — if *each* of my students needed ONE pencil ONCE that year, it would have been 245 pencils minimum.

I live in Renton, WA, outside of Seattle. We do not bring school supplies. Parents for K-5 pay $30.00 per child if they can. The district buys them, so all supplies are shared with all.
