For everyone planning this: there's signs that say you should be careful of the monkeys and boars after dark! So keep this in mind for a safe experience. Rain makes it very slippery as well

i was there at daylight. even only in afternoon, it was rather eerie when i stepped rather deep. i am curious to the experience during nightfall though . i hope i can go back one day

Done! A monk told us not to go too deep on mountain due to the monkeys. It was so beautiful and different compared to with the day light

i went there in the evening (around 9pm), it was the best experience of my life, it was my bday and i was alone, but a met a really nice girl that gifted me an omikuji (and it was lucky!!) i really miss all of this 🥹

went there at night in March. all is good, except the horse statue(the little one behind the big one). and also the scream I heard when I take picture, right from the top of these red gate. 🙂
