Do diesels just need to be driven a little bit harder? My wife’s X5 seems to respond much better when it’s driven hard rather than dawdling around town & school runs

after that carbon clean should of done a swirl flap delete egr delete dpf delete ecu remap and before people say it won't pass mot it will I've had the same engine in my alfa with all that done 5 year

volvo tech here. normally have a code (intake manifold runner 1) the soot blocked the flap and the motor jumps out causing this issue.. pretty common

I've always said that cars need a heavy foot occasionally, and 30 minutes of low gear revving on the motorway every week. Does them no good driving around at idle everywhere.
