UPDATE ON THE SUSPECTED KIDNAPPING CASE IN EKPOMA Fresh details have emerged regarding the suspected kidnapping case that drew the attention of residents and security operatives in Ekpoma earlier today. According to information shared by a community leader who spoke on the development, the incident reportedly began yesterday when a young man, said to have recently returned from abroad, noticed an aboki allegedly following him around the town. The young man, whose identity is being withheld for security reasons, had come to visit his family. Sources said he confronted the suspect and questioned why he was being followed. The suspect reportedly denied the allegation, leading to an argument. The young man then raised an alarm, attracting youths in the area who apprehended the suspect before contacting security operatives. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody for questioning. During preliminary interrogation, he allegedly confessed to being involved in kidnapping activities. According to the source, the suspect claimed he had been involved in the criminal act for about three years and allegedly mentioned the Emaudo area as one of the locations where their operations were carried out.
