as a educated American, do you really think we buy in bulk every day? some of the item you’re showing have the word family size on the front. family sized food is meant to be eaten by- take a guess- large families. these big snacks are meant to be eaten over a large period of time, hence why they are bigger. they’re meant for people who don’t go to the grocery store much. also what cultural shock are you experiencing? I’ve been outside of the U.S. and there’s snacks as big as ours.

so.. i pick stuff up like this and think "wow this is gonna last me awhile" OR, businesses might order stuff like this because its bigger and you don't have to consistently go back! It's just convenient if you don't wanna go to the grocery store a lot

I don’t think they consider how far people live from grocery stores too. I grew up having to drive 40 minutes to the closest store. We stocked up and bought bulk because we weren’t making that trip into town multiple times a week
