@nobudgetbabe: Replying to @sarahjones401 Waiting until you feel motivated means your life is going to pass you by. Ready isn't a feeling, it's a decision. Get clear about what inaction looks like. Get clear about how much extra work you'll have to do for waiting, and how much harder you'll make it on yourself. People think that by ignoring their finances somehow they're skipping the work that comes along with it, but they're not. They're just kicking the can down the road. And the further you kick it, the bigger and heavier it becomes. You WILL deal with your finances at some point. It's inevitable. Don't wait until the only people calling are debt collectors, you're scared to go to the mailbox, you have to decline invites to important events because you don't have the cash, or you look back and realize you wasted decades of your life stressed and unhappy. Do the hard thing now to avoid a lifetime of struggle. Money isn't the motivator. Safety, security, and freedom is. No one wants "a million dollars", they want the lifestyle that comes along with it.
