Yes!! I was the default parent. Got divorced and I still did everything WITHOUT the stress of constantly asking someone else to do their part.

I work 6 days a week 10 hour shifts to support my wife and my one child. take over when I'm home. House is a mess no food in fridge. she's always complaining I'm not doing enough. I'm worn out.

The reality is even in 50/50 after divorce they will still be the default parent. But they won’t have to take care of a spouse who acts like a child too
