Try a private shop. We go to Bayshore Truck and Auto in NFM. Charlie is a gem. 💙

Same thing happened to us except we have a Hyundai. We were able to YouTube how to fix it and my husband bought the part online for 30 bucks. Look it up and see if there is a YouTube video on it!

If you have the means, I would get a new car. 8k for a hatch fix is so much! When I was younger my dad drove an 08 odyssey and it no sooner hit 100k miles the transmission went.

My Honda odyssey ac went out and they said everything would be 6k… took it somewhere else and they said half of what they said wasn’t broken or needed to be replaced but the ac was 1800 to fix

Look into if there are recalls in that issue for your van and the year specifically. Usually the dealership will fix recalls for free. You may have you pay for labor still but it’s a lot cheaper

I had to wait to use my radio for the first year I had my Honda due to a class action lawsuit and they finally recalled it and I don’t know how I survived without it that long.

I’m so sorry to hear this. 🥺I used to have a Honda and had so many issues I switched to a Toyota years ago and have only had routine maintenance stuff. I can’t say enough good things about Toyota.
