I use OxiClean or another oxygen bleach mixed with hot water and it works just as well after soaking. Takes out tea and coffee stains from cups also No bleach in my enamel cooking pots!

That small amount of bleach won’t hurt you if you’re concerned about cooking in it after. Just be sure to use soap and hot water to remove it completely.

I bake bread once a week in my same le crueset dutch oven and it got really dark. A scrub daddy and the Pink Stuff paste gave me these exact results. Bleach would never cross my mind to use..ever 😂

I’ve learned that harsh cleaners are the reason enamel gets stained in the 1st place. It breaks down the finish that is supposed to protect the pot from staining/scratching.

boil water, add baking soda. boil for ten minutes, use a wooden spoon to scrape the bottom. perfection.

So nothing is impacted with a ceramic If you have the dark spots/staining from the cooking correct? And there’s nothing unsanitary correct so this is just an aesthetic thing for the cleaning?
