@mummyandherthree.autism: Watching the two of them together is beautiful. I don't force any interaction, for example, I didn't ask Lilly to push Oliver on the swing, she just went up and started doing it. She enjoys playing with her big brother, she understands she is able to do things he is not and she understands he is autistic. Her understanding is only going to grow and her ability to engage with others who may struggle with social interaction is only going to make her a more rounded person. She won't be unsure on how to talk to someone who is nonverbal because she talks to Oliver, just like she does everyone else. She will know that some people need a little bit more time and space than others because she already gives that to Oliver when it's needed and she will have knowledge of a world that so many people are never a part of. #autism #autistic #nonverbal #nonspeaking #autismacceptance #autismawareness #nonverbalcommunication
