My daughter had the twisties really severely when she was competing. She, for example, would be told to do a layout and involuntarily throw a double full and get lost. It’s super scary

I wish more people understood this. I got this during a tumbling pass and it destroyed my elbow and 25 years later it’s never been the same. It’s scary!

So I was thinking that it’s like “blanking out” or losing yourself in the air. Like round off back tuck but you land on your head! lol

This happens to me with piano. I’m advanced level but when I think too hard while playing, all of a sudden my hands stop working! It’s wild. And extremely terrifying if it happens during a performance

Curb. The word curbs wears me out still. I get the twisties in a different way as an athlete but I also can’t say the word curb because it’s stupid.

When I play songs I’ve memorized on the piano & for some reason I start thinking about the notes I’m playing & none of it makes sense & my fingers no longer do it right-except flying through the air
