How can we tell that a bone from one specimen (is that the correct word here!?) is representative of a population, rather than just belonging to a smaller individual?

Dude I would have loved to have you as my middle/jr high school science teacher. My sci teacher mr B had a love/hate for me as a student because I would ask (advanced) questions that he didn't want to take the time to answer so eventually (depending on the day) he would just refuse to let me ask questions in class 😅😂👍

Is it true that fossils very rarely form in tropical environments? Has that affected our ability to find fossils in places like Flores?

did indigenous sapiens people on Flores coexist with floresiensis for a while & have stories about them/referred to them as 'Little Grandmothers'? or am I misremembering?
