bruh the white walkers were like this lovecraftian threat in the back ground, not seen but getting ever closer, there was always this undercurrent of utter dread and futility in the earlier seasons.

Fun fact season 8 was supposed to be 3 seasons where they really took their time with it. But the directors got a offer from marvel which they could only accept once game of thrones was done, so they slammed it all into one season
