@planb.sg: A baggage X-ray scanner at Changi Airport Terminal 1 caught fire on Tuesday morning (6 Aug). The incident was captured on video and uploaded to TikTok, showing the machine engulfed in thick, black smoke and flames. The affected passengers were scheduled for a flight to Denpasar, Bali, departing at 7.10am. The fire was promptly extinguished by two airport staff, who managed to put out the flames caused by an electrical fault in the machine. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted at 6.40am, but the fire was already under control by the time they arrived. No injuries were reported. The Bali bound flight was delayed for approximately two hours. 📹: montanaandchris
