I had a teacher try calling me out in math for drawing and she asked what she’d just said and for the answer. Repeated it back to her exactly and answered correctly. She never bothered me after that.

I would do this, tell them I was paying attention, they’d ask what they just said, I would repeat what they said word for word, and then they’re like “ok but act like you’re paying attention” WHY?! 🤨

I learned that early on as a kid so I’d pretend to pay attention and then teach myself more or less how to do the work. They weren’t good at teaching
