I learned that early on as a kid so I’d pretend to pay attention and then teach myself more or less how to do the work. They weren’t good at teaching

Its the same thing with music I promise you i am able to hear better and pay attention better when 100,000 thoughts become 50,000 thoughts because the music cancels out and distract my brain

I would do this, tell them I was paying attention, they’d ask what they just said, I would repeat what they said word for word, and then they’re like “ok but act like you’re paying attention” WHY?! 🤨

I had a teacher try calling me out in math for drawing and she asked what she’d just said and for the answer. Repeated it back to her exactly and answered correctly. She never bothered me after that.
