@eatswithally: Comfort food will always have my heart and this baked ziti is no exception 😍🤌🏻🍝 (it’s actually baked penne because I didn’t have ziti noodles 🤫) I love to make this on a cozy Sunday! It makes a big ol’ pan so we usually pop it back in the oven and eat it a 2nd day. I also think this would be a great dish for hosting 🥰 Ingredients: - 1 onion - 1 lb ground italian sausags - garlic - italian seasoning - red pepper flakes - salt & pepper - 1 box (12 oz) ziti noodles - 28oz crushed tomatoes - 1 cup heavy whipping cream - pinch of sugar - 8oz ricotta cheese - shredded mozzarella - grated parmesan Instructions: - preheat oven to 375° - dice onion - heat a large pan on medium heat and cook italian sausage with onion and garlic - season with italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt & pepper - while sausage is cooking, boil noodles for 4-5 minutes - mix crushed tomatoes and heavy cream in the pan with the italian sausage and heat through - sprinkle with a pinch of sugar - mix noodles into meat mixture - in a 9x13 baking dish, spread half of the pasta mixture in an even layer - spoon the ricotta in dollops over the first pasta layer - top with remaining half of pasta mixture - sprinkle mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan over top - bake for 20ish minutes #dinner #DinnerIdeas #dinnerinspo #dinnerrecipe #dinneridea #comfortfood #weeknightdinner #easydinner #easydinnerideas #bakedziti
