@cartersullivan13: I think our guest bedroom makeover might be my favourite project we’ve done so far 🤭 We have guests coming to stay with us soon so we gave ourselves the challenge of giving our guest bedroom a makeover in one single weekend. We were going for a moody, yet cozy cottage coastal vibe and I may be biased but I think it turned out PERFECT #Ad I really wanted to challenge myself with this space and get out of my comfort zone while also staying on a tight budget and luckily @RE/MAX Canada had a great blog post on ‘5 Thrifty Ways to Make Your Home Feel More Luxurious’ which came in handy with tips like dressing your windows (choosing curtains that complement the space, cleaning the windows, freshening up the trim) and also adding warmth and texture to the room! And if you’re curious on the cost breakdown for this project, we managed to stick to our $500 budget 💸 Bed = $40 (we sold our old queen bed and replaced it with this one so this is just the out of pocket difference) Paint = $60 Painting = $75 Sconces = $110 Curtains & curtain rods = $150 Bedding = $60 (we only needed to buy a duvet cover) #fixerupper #oldhouse #renovationproject #bedroommakeover #cozyhome #guestbedroom #bedroomdecor #coastalliving #cottagecoreaesthetic
