@love2hvac: A TXV does not do trop suction pressure, it controls the suction superheat. By monitoring the superheated vapor it can keep the evaporator coil with the correct amount of saturated liquid mixture. Airflow first, the. feed it enough subcooled liquid, Then the TXV will maintain superheat for us! #hvac #hvacr #love2hvac #hvactech #hvactechnician #txv
Txv more like CSV…right? Constant superheat valve?! Anyone?

Another good topic on sub cooling is just bc you have 9 sc outside doesn’t mean you have a full column getting to the TXV.

No one explains how the sensing bulb and equalizing tube adjust the position of the needle inside the txv. Would really help tech out there understand how it’s “calculating”.

There is also a EPRV and a CPRV . Evaporator pressure regulating valve and crankcase pressure regulating valve!

If the sc and pressure is good at the txv inlet and still high sh, txv is bad. Warming and cooling txv only tells you that it modulates, nothing more so meaningless imo. Sh/sc can be made more or less

Got1 for u guys, fan kicks off after about a minute, but compressor still runs changed capacitor, and fan motor. Could it be a dirty a coil? Old R22 unit I know it should be changed.

Very well done👌. Check your filter, check blower, then start to think about txv. Changed out a handful this summer. Please people, quit shooting uv dye+ sealant into lines. Find it and fix it.😂

Can you make a more in depth video on troubleshooting a txv and how to know 100% that the txv is faulty

as I like to say the main job of the txv is to ensure you are always getting 100% vapor back to the compressor.
