It was not just school they used some of that money for living expenses. They also probably did not work during the time they were in school

Dave Ramsey is wrong wrong wrong. Doctors in family med in NYS make $150-over $300k. Even PA make over $150 once they are established.

You can make 300k in family medicine. Rural Midwest and south. Yoy will make 150 if you live in a desirable city. Aka Austin or Nashville

My husband had 300 G debt as a psychiatrist. We haven’t done it there Dave Ramsey way but we are on the tail end of it. It is a mountain.

Dave Ramsey is incorrect on this one. Our area for a family med doc is average of 300k to 460k. Med school is expensive. My husband has 486k in loans from 10 years of school

This is fairly common in medicine I don’t know many physicians who owe less than 200k for just medical school

They need to apply at rural hospitals like the size of Amarillo Texas. The hospital will pay off debts as along as u practice for a number of years.

Dave is 100% correct! That’s just too much debt to take on for what he’s trying to get too. They’re gonna live minimum wage lives until it’s paid off (which will probably take 20+ years).
