This is frustrating. The cost of medical school is the same no matter what specialty you go in to. And people don’t go into a specialty just for the income-we wouldn’t want our doctors to do that.

As doctors they can move to remote locations and work at hospitals for three years and they pay off most of your loans.

I’m internal medicine and although my base salary was $255K, I made over $400K/yr by doing a xtra shifts. Family med docs can pick up shifts at urgent care and make $200/hr during flu season
