It’s just being overused I think and it takes away from what a huge deal it is… I love Ncuti and I love his doctor but the pacing and writing is letting it down. He seems to panic and cry constantly

To be fair Capauldi had time to heal on derillium but I think between the traumas of Clara, the dial, bill and the toll of repeated regeneration (reminding him of the dial) it was outwieghed.

people complain about it forgetting that 14 literally rehabilitated himself because of how bad his emotional state had got. he did that to stop running from his feelings and to healthily express them

Also important to note that Ruby Sunday has a part in this. In Devils Chord and in Rogue he tried to laugh it off and she hugged him and made him feel it. She is making him more emotional
