When I was younger, I had to cash out RRSP’s and I couldn’t believe I had to pay 33% tax on MY OWN MONEY!!! Since then I haven’t invested in them again. Such bullshit. I may end up old and eating

The fact that we pay taxes on the money we earned to then buy food with that money and pay tax on that food and so on and so on. Also paying taxes on previously owned items that already had taxes paid

it's why we have no manufacturing usa will tax a knife a knife, but in Canada the wood handle is taxed, then the metal is taxed , production is taxed and thennnnn the knife is taxed

what gets me is they tax the same item multiple times. every time a car or house is sold the new owner pays tax - yet the previous owner already paid. sell a car 10 times and the gov gets taxes 10x
