@soheefit: Statements that are all true: peanut butter is not a great source of protein exercise burns calories daily weighing has been associated with better weight loss and weight loss maintenance resistance training is the GOAT you can eat far more watermelon for the same number of calories in one slice of bread combination exercises are not the most effective way to overload the muscles weighing your food is the most accurate way to track your calorie and macronutrient intake Even so, many of the statements are lacking nuance, leaving out important context, or simply focusing on the wrong thing. If I go on and on about how peanut butter is not a great source of protein, I’m failing to acknowledge the fact that it’s still a delicious, nutrient-dense food that we’re allowed to enjoy. If I’m reminding you that running a mile burns more calories than walking the same distance, that doesn’t mean that everyone needs to run or that walking is not a wonderful, low-impact source of movement. The point that I want to drive home is that even if something is technically correct, HOW you present the information is important. What is your take-home message, and what kind of impact do you want to have on your clients/audience? #FitnessTips
