The scratching of furniture could be caused by stress caused by the new kitchen or it could be older cat is marking their territory, i think it’s just territory marking letting kitten know it’s theirs

Scratching is also how they scent mark so if bean is the newest addition and she didn’t do it before she’s likely doing it because he is there now and she’s scent marking her territory 🖤🖤

So those are amazing!!! My cats have always loved them.! but also they have that same like cardboard material in a form that like wraps the corner of either like your house or furniture so you can put that on the sofa too on the corners if she continues to scratch

If you notice it still happens... You can try kitty caps! Just trim the nails and then glue on the tips. It's temporary & pain free.

If that dont help you could use nail caps they come in cool colors and it dont hurt them yes they slowly come off by themselves or the cats try and take em off but they work
