Little heat on the nuts helps alot almost all I have the cylinders I have done have loctite heat softens up and most come off with impact.

Milwaukee couldn’t pull that nut off? I work for John Deere and I rebuilt a fold cylinder on a 1790 planter and my Rigid impact pulled an 1 7/8” nut off the piston 😅😅

for future reference, when I build hyd cylinders, I wipe all the new seals down with wheel bearing grease to help it go back together easily

That was a ware-band and not a seal keeps it for damaging the body from hit piston on the sides of the bore .
