@cookinginthemidwest: Homemade Breakfast Uncrustables are a hit with the family and perfect for back to school! Recipe 1 lb sausage 1 tbsp butter 6 eggs Splash of milk Salt and pepper 1 1/2 loaves of white bread 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Steps Brown sausage in a skillet over medium high heat. Remove from pan and drain grease once fully cooked. Whisk together eggs, salt, pepper, and a splash of milk in a bowl. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook scrambled eggs. Combine cooked sausage, eggs, and cheese. Lay out bread and use a sandwich cutter to cut out circles. Add some of the filling onto the middle of the bread (I used a 1/3 measuring cup). Add the tops of the bread and use the sandwich cutter to crimp the bread. Toast Uncrustables in a toaster or in a skillet. Enjoy! This made 15 breakfast Uncrustables. Store in the refrigerator or freezer.
