A lot of ppl think breathing techniques to just get through the “pain” but they’re really for shifting focus and trying to work through and with the ctrx not against it. Having some one breathe with u

The Freya app. It counts your breathing for you, and has calming music between contractions. I literally just put headphones on and use it for every single contraction until it’s time to push.

Hypnobirthing helped prep me but then I met myself in labor and nothing helped. I wish I had an open mindset going in because I felt such guilt afterwards. Good luck and we'll wishes 💕

Just know that every birth is different and if you change your mind and want more medical pain management- that’s OK. In fact, it’s better if it leaves you sane & ready to care for your newborn ❤️

Vocalize in low tones. You have to let the contraction wash over you and not fight against it. Vocalizing (like mooing) keeps your muscles loose and gives you something else to focus on

Hypnobirthing! I did no epidural. I got a burn comb but didn’t use it because clenching your fists can keep the body closed. I focused on releasing and relaxing every part of my body. Look up

Honestly by staying home as long as possible you’re not able to get one 😅 that’s what happened to me, i spent a lot of time on the toilet was the most comfortable spot.

I was too late so my pain management was a nurse softly touching my arm and saying "oh sweetie it's too late for that" in the absolute sweetest voice when I said wait I wanted an epidural 😂

I'm curious why some women want to experience the pain? i experienced it for 3 hours or so until I finally got my epidural and that was definitely enough

The best pain management is movement. If you’re still, you’ll hurt. Knowing it’s just a pressure wave and it’ll only last one minute- of that the peak is roughly at the 30second mark.

Have someone there who will be firm with making you MOVE through ctx, when people freeze is usually when they panic, if you can move you can breathe!

Don’t fight the contractions relax and let them pass. Make sure you empty your bladder regularly so it’s not making labor last longer. This is your 3rd be prepared for a faster labor just in case

everyone will say a warm compress, but a cold compress and ice pack was what actually helped! also, don't get in the tub too early, it zaps all your strength!
