How does a plane that's flying supposedly 500 plus miles an hour fall out of the sky even if the engines do stopped working you would think it would at least be falling in a straight angle not spinning

20 years ago i lost a childhood friend in an incident like this at Gwammaja Kano, Nigeria. A passenger flight failed and fall into a residential area.
