Danish person here. I honestly don’t mind paying 40% in taxes. I even pay a “top tax”, so I pay around 45%. And that’s okay, becuase no one has to do a go fund me to pay for medical bills😅

Finland here. I had a tumour in my overy. Had both overies and uterus removed, The cost of which was about 200 EUR hospital fee. Got free meals in the hospital, and a fully paid sick leave of a month.

I went to Spain, got sick with bronchitis, and I went to a pharmacy on the corner. The doctor there provided me with a prescription. All of it was $9 in total. I will pay more in taxes for this.

In Australia here, I had an ectopic pregnancy in April. I attended the emergency room was admitted for 2 days and had emergency surgery. It cost me exactly $0.

I’m Norwegian - in 2020 I paid about $10 for having my appendix taken out. It was for parking. I’m on a low tax bracket right now on 28-32%, probably doing a jump up and it’s ok - free healthcare 👏

I’ve commented free healthcare as a TOP thing I Sweden. But also school is free including daily lunch, even collage is free, 1 year paid parental leave. Prescription medications max 200 dollars a YEAR
